Inspired by vintage shoegaze aesthetics from the likes of Stereolab and MBV, “Pill” is one of my most analog-forward music videos. With the help of Touchdesigner and Premiere Pro, I initially compiled an edit with some VHS footage shot in Sunnyvale Brooklyn. I filled backgrounds with analog animations from the Critter & Guitari ETC and some Tachyons+ analog video feedback. After locking the cut, the footage was processed multiple times with the LZX Vidiot and the different versions were composited together in Premiere Pro.
