Assembled with thousands of 360 photos of the Appalachian Trail, NYC, Oklahoma, Paris, & Vermont—the Wanderkid music video wanders and weaves between the places that represent different chapters of the JW Francis’ life.
After compiling the edit, the animation was then trained with AI to resemble iconic expressionist paintings. This painterly style, partially an homage to JW’s Parisian legacy, also spoke to me as reminder of the beauty that is often overlooked in places like a Sapulpa, Oklahoma strip mall.
